I’m reading a book by Lee Hartley Carter titled “Persuasion”. I originally picked it up to try and grab a few pointers on how to discuss my criminal history with a potential employer or investor but I realized immediately I was in for something far better.

The author challenges the reader almost immediately to be *genuine*. To pursue what you *really* love. She provides 3 not so easy questions about your specific passion, what makes you enthusiastic. They are:
What do I love?
What do I want more of in my life?
What am I passionate about?

For me those answers, in order, are:

Creating and implementing strategy
Team and business leadership
Goal setting

Strategy, leadership, and goal setting. What career involves all 3 of those? I love mathematics, but it’s a secondary love. If I could do anything in the world I would help people set goals, strategize how to accomplish each one and lead a team while I did it (okay, and somehow incorporate math?? lol.).

I don’t know what amazingness this more focused vision will lead to, but I can’t wait! In the mean time, if anyone has any advice to make this stuff happen, I’m ready to hear it!!

With Love
