So, here I am, minding my own business, when all of a sudden my nose is assaulted by fresh cooked bacon. The coveted substance is being cooked by the staff in the unit I reside in. Pot lucks are not a thing done very often, but when they do happen, my hunger is sent into a frenzy.
See this wouldn’t be such a problem if I didn’t have an issue with food. We’re best friends, food and I. At one point I weighed 284 pounds and had an open relationship with food. I have spent countless hours working out to lose a collective 122 pounds… I had a major setback when I went to work in a kitchen that had an in house bakery. Unlimited access to cookies, cake, muffins, fresh baked banana bread, and the like added 38 pounds, which brought me back up to 258lbs. I am now at the lowest weight I have been since I was 14 (203lbs.).
It has taken a lot of work to get to this weight, and it has been well worth it. I have never felt more healthy in my life. However, when I encounter these situations involving smells like this, I have to remember the self control I have built thoughout my journey. It is times like this that remind me that I am able to change and continue to maintain this self control for the long run.
SELF CONTROL IS POSSIBLE!!!
