Social Mathematics Experiment, 11/20/20... by Rory Andes

It was good to be back among my friends in class today. I had been out for the last two weeks for quarantine due to a Covid scare because I was identified in a contact tracing. I waited, tested twice and was ultimately released to come back to my peeps in math class. I was so happy to see them and we even picked up a new student while I was gone. While I was generally lost because I didn't have the homework by class time, the class discussion was great and stimulating. Christopher explained concepts around one of his favorite jokes, the square root of negative one (√-1). I guess it's math humor. As a storyteller myself, Christopher's logical humor leaves me in the dust sometimes... Hell, I'm even assuming he was joking, now that I think of it.

But, I was glad to be around these amazing people. I missed them deeply while I was gone. And I'm looking forward to the subject material in the next sessions before we break for the semester. We will get some history centered around the Turing device and how computers do the wonderful things they do. I'm looking forward to it and I definitely appreciate having the option to be around the beautiful people in class I get to call part of my family...
