Making Giant Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (well, kinda) by Ruth Utnage

I've been craving chocolate, ridiculous amounts of chocolate. Maybe it's my hormones playing hell with my cravings or maybe chocolate is simply crave worthy, either way I daydream of chocolate. Lately I've been craving Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but the problem with them is one, I cannot get them and two, they simply aren't big enough.

What's a girl to do? Make her own giant Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, that's what! Obviously I can't make actual Reese's in prison, but a girl can get close and because it's my project (or fantasy, whatev's...don't judge me! LOL) I can put whatever I want in it.

So here's what I am going to do, I am going to use my microwave safe bowl that holds 5.5 cups of whatever I want to make giant Reese's pies. The shell will be solid Hershey's chocolate, 5 XL bars of it, to be exact. The filling will be peanut butter, brown sugar, a little marshmallow, some peanut butter cookies that I grind into powder, and a whole tub of chocolate frosting (because I do what I want).

My plan is to melt the five bars into a pourable liquid, pour it into my bowl and set it in ice, then put a smaller bowl lined with saran wrap and butter into the liquid chocolate with ice inside of the smaller bowl that way it cools while I make a chocolate shell. Once it's hardened I will add my filling.

Here's how I'll make the filling:

mix 1 lb of peanut butter (1 jar) with 1/2 bag of marshmallows, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 container of frosting and about 1/2 cup of ground peanut butter cookie.

I will cook the mixture until blended and let cool. Once it's set I will scoop it into my shell adding as much ground cookie as needed until its thick enough to hold a shape on its own. I will fill it up to about 1/8 inch from the top of my shell and pour the remaining liquid chocolate into the shell to complete my Reese's cup.

Then I will wait for it to set and cool on ice and remove from the bowl where I will then proceed to eat the majestic creation like a giant Reese's cup until I'm sick to my stomach.

BTW, I'm making 4 of them because this girl's serious about her chocolate...
